1. Background

In collaboration with the local Government Sindh, is supporting initiatives related to emergency preparedness and response in Sindh Province. To strengthen coordination mechanisms and improve the quality and timeliness of reporting and information management, a dedicated staff member will be seconded to government office. This individual will provide support to enhance documentation, data flow, and partner coordination during emergency and recovery operations.

2. Objectives of the Assignment

  • Strengthen Government's reporting systems and coordination with humanitarian partners.
  • Support the timely preparation and dissemination of situation reports, briefing notes, and visual dashboards.
  • Improve documentation, data consolidation, and analysis related to disaster response and recovery efforts.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily and weekly situation reports during emergencies, consolidating inputs from relevant departments and partners.
  • Maintain a comprehensive log of incoming field reports and ensure timely review, analysis, and integration.
  • Track partner activities and regularly update the 4Ws matrix (Who is doing What, Where, and when).
  • Support the maintenance and timely updating of Government’s data systems, information repositories, and dashboards.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze field-level data to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Assist in the visualization of key indicators, response coverage, and gap analysis.
  • Support the organization and documentation of coordination meetings, workshops, and partner briefings.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by Government or the designated focal person from organization, as relevant to the assignment.

4. Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in humanitarian coordination, reporting, or data/information management.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality analytical and narrative reports.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI ) is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and work effectively under pressure.
