AKHS, P is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Dentist for its Sindh Region
Key Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Care Delivery
- Perform comprehensive oral examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages.
- Provide preventive, restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, periodontic, and minor surgical dental services as per scope and center requirements.
- Administer local anesthesia and perform tooth extractions and minor oral surgeries when indicated.
- Ensure infection prevention and control (IPC) measures are strictly followed for all clinical procedures.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional approach in patient interactions to ensure optimal patient experience.
2. Treatment Planning and Patient Counseling
- Develop individual treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences.
- Counsel patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Educate patients on treatment options, costs, and expected outcomes, ensuring informed consent is obtained for all procedures.
3. Documentation and Reporting
- Accurately maintain and update patients’ electronic medical records (EMR) or manual files as per organizational policies.
4. Operational Support
- Ensure the dental operator is prepared for daily services with availability of necessary supplies and functioning equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunction or supply shortages to the designated focal person for timely resolution.
- Adhere to clinic operational timings and support in managing patient appointments to optimize patient flow and reduce waiting times.
5. Quality and Standards Compliance
- Adhere to AKHS quality assurance protocols and participate in periodic audits and clinical assessments.
- Always uphold ethical standards and confidentiality of patient information.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives in the dental program.
6. Capacity Building and Community Engagement
- Participate in community outreach camps and school screening programs organized by AKHSP.
- Engage in internal and external training sessions to upgrade clinical knowledge and skills as per program needs.
- Support health promotion initiatives and collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists for integrated oral health services.
Education, Experience & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery & valid registration with PMDC
- Minimum 2-3 years in a clinical or community dental setting preferred
- Proficient in all dental procedures and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication, community engagement, and organizational skills. Comfortable speaking in public settings. Proficient Computer Skills
- Willingness to travel for outreach programs; familiarity with underserved communities
