Job Purpose:
To support the nutrition program in flood-affected areas of KP by managing data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision-making and donor compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection & Management
- Collect and compile nutrition data from field sites (e.g., OTPs, TSFP, BSFP, MUAC screenings).
- Ensure data quality through regular field visits and validation checks.
- Maintain databases using tools like Excel, KOBO, ODK, or CommCare.
2. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly/monthly nutrition reports (e.g., admission trends, default rates, recovery rates).
- Support donor reporting with accurate and timely data.
- Update nutrition dashboards for real-time program tracking.
3. Capacity Building & Support
- Train field staff on data collection tools and protocols.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to mobile data collection.
4. Coordination
- Liaise with the DHO, WHO, UNICEF Nutrition Cluster, and other partners for data sharing and alignment.
- Participate in nutrition information management meetings.
5. Compliance
- Ensure data management adheres to organization and donor guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality of beneficiary information.
Emergency-Specific Tasks:
- Support rapid nutrition assessments (e.g., SMART surveys) in new flood-affected areas.
- Adapt data tools for emergency nutrition response (e.g., CMAM, IYCF).
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field.
- Experience:
- 2+ years in data management, preferably in nutrition or health programs.
- Experience with mobile data collection tools (KOBO, ODK, CommCare).
- Skills:
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards).
- Basic knowledge of data analysis software (SPSS, Stata, or R).
- Fluency in Urdu and Pashto.
Preferred:
- Experience in emergency nutrition programs (CMAM, IYCF).
- Understanding of nutrition indicators (GAM, SAM, stunting, wasting).
- Knowledge of GIS mapping for nutrition data visualization.
