Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager Academics will play a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring academic programs to ensure quality education delivery across the organization’s schools and educational initiatives. Expertise in syllabus alignment, designing of teachers training, early years education, reporting, collaborations. The ideal candidate will possess strong reporting and analytical skills along with a deep understanding of academic frameworks and best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Syllabus Alignment & Planning

  • Ensure syllabus alignment with national educational standards and institutional goals across Early Years, Primary, and High School levels.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and periodic review of syllabi to ensure developmental appropriateness and academic rigor at each educational stage.
  • Ensure vertical alignment of curriculum to support smooth progression from Early Years through to High School, minimizing learning gaps and duplication.
  • Collaborate with faculty across all levels to facilitate joint planning sessions, ensuring consistency, coherence, and shared understanding of learning outcomes across the entire educational continuum.

2. Assessment & Reporting

  • Develop and implement assessment frameworks that support student learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and review assessment data to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of academic reports to stakeholders.

3. Teacher Professional Development & Planning

  • Design and deliver professional development programs based on identified teacher needs and institutional goals.
  • Support teachers with instructional strategies, classroom management, and subject-specific planning.
  • Foster a culture of reflective teaching and continuous learning.

4. External Liaison & Partnerships

  • Act as a point of contact for external academic bodies, education partners, and examination boards.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships that support curriculum enrichment and teacher development.
  • Represent the institution in external forums and collaborative initiatives.

 

5. Data Compilation

  • Oversee the systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of academic and administrative data.
  • Use data to inform planning, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory data reporting requirements.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in academic planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in report writing.
  • Ability to manage academic databases and use education-related data analysis tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Sound knowledge of current academic trends and pedagogical approaches.
  • Good command over curriculum and academic operations in the education sector.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in education or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in academic management 2-3 years experience in teachers training.
  • Experience working in education-focused NGOs or public-private school systems preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Office and field-based work with regular school visits.
  • Occasional travel for training and external stakeholder engagement.
