Position Summary:

The Tehsil Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of all project targets at the tehsil level. He/She will oversee field activities, monitor enumerators/surveyors to ensure adherence to guidelines, and provide timely reports to the project management. The role requires proactive coordination, frequent field visits, and strong reporting and monitoring skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the completion of all tehsil-level targets in line with project objectives and timelines.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to enumerators/surveyors to ensure data collection is accurate and as per the required guidelines.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor ongoing activities, identify gaps, and provide immediate support to the field team.
  • Verify the quality of collected data and ensure compliance with project standards and protocols.
  • Maintain close coordination with the District Coordinator/Project Manager to share progress, challenges, and updates.
  • Prepare and submit timely progress reports, field visit reports, and monitoring updates as per prescribed formats.
  • Support capacity building of field teams through orientation and on-the-job mentoring.
  • Address operational or logistical issues arising at the tehsil level to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Build effective working relationships with local stakeholders and communities to facilitate project activities.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, safeguarding, and accountability frameworks.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a relevant field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in field coordination, monitoring, or implementation of development projects (experience in surveys/data collection preferred).
  • Strong monitoring, reporting, and data verification skills.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate field teams.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with community stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and use of Android-based applications for data collection.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned tehsil.
