Scope of Work -Creative Designer

Project Background:

As part of the post 2022 floods recovery in Sindh, Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF), is leading a resilient housing reconstruction program for about 2.1 million households and carries a vision to systematically assess various flood affected settlements in Sindh to develop Climate Resilient Settlement Development Plan (CRSDP) with the technical support of CRS. This process is crucial for setting up, upgrading, and sustaining essential community infrastructures to improve access to basic public services. These plans would also help carry out the land entitlement process to vulnerable communities in Sindh.

Objective:

The Creative Designer will play an important role in supporting the CRSDP implementation in 07 districts in required graphic and content designing to ensure quality branding of platform and its partners and effective Information Communication Materials (IEC), Visibility materials, website display, presentation, and publications design are produced.

Creative Designer will work closely with Project Manager and creative team to establish direction, plan development and communicate concepts, design, production strategies and schedules. He will create and designs communication materials in consultation with the project Manager. Creative Designer will maintain ongoing development of essential skills and knowledge including software, like Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

Roles and Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop high-quality Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials including brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and other content as per need.
  • Create and format professional PowerPoint presentations for meetings, trainings, workshops, and reporting.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all materials in line with CRSDP and partner guidelines.
  • Develop website graphics and display content, supporting web-based outreach and communication.
  • Collaborate with in-house teams to establish design direction, content requirements, and production timelines.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager, teams and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality output.
  • Maintain organized digital archives of all design files, templates, and final deliverables following CS documentation protocols.
  • Prepare design documentation, including specifications, mock-ups, and version tracking for reference and reporting.
  • Stay updated on the latest tools and trends in graphic design, video editing, pre-press systems, printing, and digital publishing.
  • Use professional software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Microsoft PowerPoint to execute design tasks efficiently.

 

Deliverable:

  • Designed IEC materials (flyers, posters, brochures, banners)
  • Design PowerPoint presentation templates and visibility material designs
  • Website graphics and visual assets
  • Layouts for reports, publications, and briefs
  • Social media and digital content templates
  • Edited videos or motion graphics (if applicable)
  • Organized archive of all design files and source materials
  • Basic branding guide (logos, colors, typography)
  • Documentation of design processes and version control

 

 

Reporting Relationships:

 

The Creative Designer will work under the supervision of the Project Manager and will collaborate closely with the project engineers, Architects and Cluster Managers, technical experts, and field teams to support the development of designs and presentations.

 

Duration of Contract:

 

Contract duration for the Position/assignment will be approximately 6- Months and duration may increase or decrease depending upon the completion of task.

 

Required Competencies,

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong skills in graphic design, layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience designing IEC and visibility materials in development or public sector projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for effective documentation and file management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

 

Required Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication and Multimedia Arts or related field.
  • A diploma or professional certification in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is an added advantage

Equipment Requirements:

 

  • HP/Dell Generation i7,8th Generation, (RAM 16-GB (DDR4) SSD 256 GB).
  • Battery Life Battery Backup at least 2 hours, on multimedia 4 hours on standby).
  • Display (at least 14” full HD Display (1920x1080).

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and composition.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to translate ideas and messages into clear, compelling visual content.
  • Able to generate fresh, engaging design concepts tailored to various audiences.
  • Experience designing for both digital platforms (social media, web) and print production.
  • Understanding of branding principles and ability to maintain visual consistency.
  • Organized approach to handling and archiving design assets and documentation.
