AKHS, P is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Sonologist/General Physician for its Karachi Region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performing Ultrasound Examinations:
• Conduct ultrasound scans (e.g., abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, musculoskeletal) on patients.
• Provide detailed images and results to the referring physician.
• Interpret ultrasound images and provide final reports to patients.
2. Patient Consultation:
• Conduct detailed medical history interviews and perform thorough physical examinations.
• Diagnose common illnesses, chronic conditions, and acute health issues.
• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate medical treatments.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
3. Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring all patient information is documented appropriately.
• Track patient progress over time and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
4. Patient Education:
• Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and any necessary lifestyle changes.
• Provide counseling on maintaining healthy habits and preventive care strategies.
5. Emergency Care:
• Provide initial treatment for minor injuries and medical emergencies.
• Refer patients to specialists or emergency services as necessary.

Education, Experience & Competencies:

• Qualification & Experience: MBBS + Diploma in ultrasound (FCPS in radiology will be preferred)
• Proven experience in general practice, with knowledge of ultrasound examination techniques.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
