Position Title: Delivery Associate - AI Unit/Legal Technology Unit

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Legal Aid Society (LAS) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Delivery Associate to support the AI and Legal Technology Unit in managing its operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and commercialization of AI-based products tailored for lawyers and law firms across Pakistan, utilizing a SaaS (Software as a Service) model. The ultimate goal is to enhance the productivity of the legal profession and address Pakistan’s case backlog effectively. Additionally, the candidate will implement cutting-edge AI and automation solutions to optimize LAS workflows and advance its legal aid programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
AI Product Development and Commercialization
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered tools and products to boost lawyer productivity and improve access to justice.
- Identify market needs and create solutions like legal research assistants, document automation tools, and case prediction systems customized for the Pakistani legal landscape.
- Develop and execute a SaaS-based revenue model, including subscription pricing, customer acquisition strategies, and retention initiatives.
- Maintain a product-focused mindset by collaborating closely with lawyers and law firms to design effective AI solutions.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and data privacy regulations throughout product development and deployment.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in legal technology.
- Collect user feedback to refine products and enhance customer satisfaction.
Automation and Workflow Optimization for LAS
- Integrate AI and automation into LAS workflows to improve case management, call center operations, and legal service delivery.
- Develop AI agents for tasks like client intake, legal documentation, and mediation agreement generation.
- Collaborate with LAS teams to identify operational inefficiencies and design tailored automation solutions.
REQUIREMENTS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence.
- At least one year of experience in AI product development or full-stack web application development.
- Passion for staying updated on advancements in AI models and agentic frameworks.
- Familiarity with rapid full-stack web app development processes using tools like Cursor and WindSurf.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in full-stack AI SaaS platform development with technologies like Next.js 14, TypeScript, Clerk, Shadcn, MongoDB, and Stripe integrations.
- Strong expertise in AI/ML technologies, natural language processing (NLP), and automation tools like n8n.
- Comprehensive understanding of SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and data analytics.
- Knowledge of legal processes and workflows in Pakistan is a plus.
