About the Organization:

Pak Mission Society (PMS) is a national relief and development organization established in 2004 and registered on 13 February 2008 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 at the Office of the Provincial Registrar Joint Stock Companies & Societies, Peshawar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

 Pak Mission Society was initiated by a group of Christian professionals whose collective vision was to bring hope and love by responding to human suffering and disasters through emergency relief efforts and delivering long-term rehabilitation and development programs.

 Pak Mission Society was established to reach and serve unreached and underprivileged communities regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, class, religion, and social background.

 The organization aims to catalyse holistic transformation and development through relationships based on dignity and respect and the transparent, fair, rights-based allocation of relief and development resources.

 Since its inception, Pak Mission Society (PMS) has focused on working with communities in Pakistan’s most difficult-to-access and impoverished areas such as District Kohistan and District Shangla in the north of Pakistan, District Sanghar in Sindh, District Rajanpur in Punjab, District Peshawar in KP and District Lasbella in Balochistan.

 Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Programme Manager-Climate Action, the Field & Hub Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Haryali Hub and supervising field activities within targeted communities. This role involves ensuring effective solid waste management (SWM) practices, community engagement, and the overall success of the Haryali Hub model. The supervisor will work closely with community leaders, staff, and stakeholders to promote sustainable waste management practices and enhance the hub's operational efficiency.

 Job Responsibilities:

 

  1. 1.     Operational Oversight:
  • Supervise daily operations of the Haryali Hub, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Monitor the collection, segregation, and processing of waste to maximize efficiency and revenue generation.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment and facilities at the hub.

 

  1. 2.     Community Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, leaders, and local stakeholders.
  • Supervise project intervention and training sessions to educate the community.
  • Facilitate community meetings to gather feedback and address their concerns.

 

  1. 3.     Team Management:
  • Lead and manage the field and Haryali Hub team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Conduct training for new staff on the Haryali Hub processes and solid waste management techniques.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity.

 

  1. 4.     Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze data related to waste collection, processing, and community engagement efforts.
  • Prepare regular reports on hub operations, challenges faced, and progress towards project goals.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.

 

  1. 5.     Networking:
  • Collaborate with local government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to promote the Haryali Hub model and solid waste management initiatives.

 

Job Specifications:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, community engagement, or solid waste management.
    • 1 to 2 years of experience in Climate Action project implementation.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis, with strong reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of solid waste management practices and sustainability principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Familiarity with community mobilization and advocacy strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software.
