We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The role includes maintaining financial records, overseeing compliance, and contributing to the organization's overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  2. Fixed Asset Management:
    • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register.
    • Ensure accurate recording of asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
    • Conduct periodic physical verification of assets.
  3. Payroll and Employee Records:
    • Maintain leave and attendance records for employees.
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
    • Reconcile employee tax and statutory deductions.
  4. Accounting Software Expertise:
    • Manage financial transactions using QuickBooks.
    • Ensure proper documentation and recording of all financial activities.
    • Generate customized reports as required.
  5. Excel Proficiency:
    • Use Excel to create detailed financial reports and analyses.
    • Prepare spreadsheets for budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliations.
  6. Compliance and Auditing:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
    • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
  7. Other Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely submissions.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations for process improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: 3 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
    • Knowledge of payroll processing and employee record management.
  • Personal Attributes: Organized, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
