Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dynamic candidates for the position of Receptionist based at Community Health Program, Karachi.

Position Summary:

The incumbent will lead front desk operations at Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan healthcare facilities and deliver professional customer support as the first point of contact for visiting clients. The role involves coordinating patient facilitation, managing cash transactions, maintaining operational records, and supporting administrative and facility operations in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register visiting clients through AKHSP HMIS / E-HR systems
  • Facilitate patients and provide information regarding available services
  • Maintain patient flow, records, and database reconciliation
  • Manage cash collection, deposits, petty cash, and float funds as per financial policies
  • Handle calls, guide patients, and manage appointments professionally
  • Support patient engagement activities including WhatsApp groups and feedback calls
  • Ensure upkeep of the facility, equipment, and assets
  • Maintain inventory and asset records and report functionality issues timely
  • Ensure utility bills are tracked and paid on tim
  • Support management and facility staff in administrative and operational matters
  • Monitor reception and waiting areas and report any unusual incidents promptly
  • Manage ancillary staff deployed at the center
  • Ensure calibration and proper functioning of equipment
  • Maintain required checklists and records
  • Willingness to work in shifts and at different sites as required

Cash Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash collection, deposits, reconciliation, and reporting activities
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliation and cash counts
  • Act as custodian of petty cash, float funds, and fixed assets of the facility
  • Coordinate with Finance Department on all cash management matters
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualification, Experience & Skills Required:

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in front desk, administration, customer service, or healthcare operations
  • Proficiency in computer applications and data entry
  • Good communication skills in English and Urdu (spoken and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and customer handling skills
  • Ability to manage cash transactions and maintain records accurately
  • Willingness to work in shifts and at different sites as required

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in healthcare or hospital reception operations
  • Administrative experience in a busy service environment
  • Familiarity with HMIS / E-HR systems
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
  • Problem-solving and coordination skills
  • Experience in managing facility operations and support staff
