Job Overview

The Art and Craft Trainer will design and implement creative programs specifically tailored for children with diverse learning needs and disabilities. You will use various artistic mediums to help students improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, and emotional expression in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and adapt art and craft projects to suit the physical and cognitive abilities of special children.

• Use art as a medium for Art Therapy to help students communicate feelings and reduce anxiety.

• Focus on improving hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills through tactile activities like weaving, beadwork, or sculpting.

• Ensure the classroom is a safe space, and strictly monitor the use of tools to prevent accidents.

• Work with special education experts to set specific creative goals for each student and track their progress.

• Organize internal displays or exhibitions to showcase students work, boosting their self-esteem and sense of achievement.

• Manage the inventory of art supplies and ensure materials are used efficiently and sustainably.

Requirements

• Minimum education: Intermediate (FA/FSc/ICS/I.Com).

• 02 years Diploma in Art and Craft from a recognized technical or vocational institute.

• Minimum 01 year of teaching experience specifically for children with special needs.

• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in various Arts and crafts

• Age Limit: 18 – 30 years.

• Ability to remain calm and encouraging when working with students who may have behavioral or communication challenges.

• The skill to simplify complex artistic tasks into manageable steps for students with special needs.

• Ability to notice subtle changes in a student's mood or physical capability during a session.

• A genuine desire to empower children with disabilities through the power of art.
